2018 Centenary Celebrations

Centenary Mass & Dinner

The College’s centenary celebrations commenced with a Mass of Thanksgiving on Saturday 17 March in the Chapel of the Holy Spirit, Newman College.  The Centenary Dinner followed in the St Mary’s College Courtyard.

Centenary Public Lectures

The first Centenary Public Lecture was presented by Professor Anne Steinemann on Tuesday 1 May in the Frewin Room.
Topic: Hidden hazards in everyday products and indoor environments.

The second Centenary Public Lecture was presented by Sr Jane Kelly ibvm on Tuesday 11 September in the Frewin Room.

St Mary’s Hall Alumnae Luncheon at St Mary’s Hall

A luncheon was held for alumnae of St Mary’s Hall, 126 The Avenue, Parkville, on Saturday 27 October 2018 at the Hall.  This luncheon was an opportunity for alumnae of St Mary’s Hall to revisit the Hall and reconnect with old friends.

Centenary Garden Party

All alumni and friends of the College were invited to the Centenary Garden Party held in the College Courtyard on Saturday 27 October.

Centenary Concert

The Centenary Concert was the highlight of our celebrations.
It was held on Sunday 2 December 2018 in the Chapel of the Holy Spirit and at St Mary’s College.
Afternoon tea followed in the St Mary’s Frewin room.
The Artistic Director of the concert was Ms Genevieve Lacey.
